At CCHM we are keen to pass on what we have learnt. Our 'Pastoral Counselling' course teaches the basics of our counselling approach. The course which runs over ten weeks, is held one evening a week and involves a Saturday.

This training is aimed at anyone who is looking to make a difference in their life and/or in the lives of others.

Sometimes we can feel that we are not good enough. Do you think you are a disappointment to God? Do you struggle with issues of guilt, shame, feeling inadequate or inferior? Do you long for some certainty of faith, now and for the future? Is being a Christian turning out to be a chore? If you answered yes to any of these questions, this course could be for you.

Are you part of a pastoral team, doing prayer ministry or caring for people in your church or community? We can equip you to be more effective and more confident by giving you skills to make a real and lasting difference to people’s lives.

Topics covered:

  • Biblical context for counselling

  • Rejection, the essence of sin

  • A theology of care

  • Forgiveness

  • Counselling skills

  • Personal transformation

  • Listening to God

  • Church and us

If you are interested in this course, please contact us to register your interest and we will get back to you with more information. Owing to Covid restrictions we have no definite plans to run another course yet. Nevertheless, we would still love to hear from you.
